Mystery - Beneath The Veil Of Winter's Face (2007)
In 1986, the multi-instrumentalist and composer Franco-Canadian Michel St-Père created this band, one of the most prominent in the progressive area of \u200b\u200bCanada, influenced mainly by their fellow neighbors Rush and Journey.
Over the years they have recorded 5 studio albums only, in addition to "At The Dawn Of A New Millennium" is a compilation released in 2000, what little good, their self-titled first album was released in 1986 calling immediate attention of the radios Canadian, in 1993 their drummer Stéphane Perreault unfortunately lost use of her legs did not prevent that in 1995 launched "Theater of the Mind" Record Unicorn under the label created by Saint-Père.
In 1998 they released "Destiny?" To some one of his best albums and the last to complete training, gaining more notoriety in North America.
This is the last album (his last album "One Among The Living" was released this year, I have it pure.) With some changes, Gary Savoie on vocals very good voice gives way to David Benoit for even more excellent voice. Patrick Bourque on bass only appears on two tracks leaving Antoine Fafard guests and Benoît Pépin play in the other 6 songs.
This album is an exquisite work, including styles such as the AOR, hardrock neoprog and not fade in almost any subject, guitars with great force and feeling, a keyboard to accompany the rather, progressive compositions ... a pleasure to hear, is one of the best albums I've found this year neoprog rock, let's see how his latest album.

Grendel - The Helpless (2008)
Polish Banda founded in 2002 by Sebastian Kowgier, Ula Swider, Swider Czarek Wojciech Bilinski and recently in 2008 released their first album entitled The Helpless, earlier, in 2007, had released a demo to topics in this album.
have long listened to your myspace but I could not find any record of them until I got a while ago and now I can share with you is a little known band, even there is very little information from them by the network.
This makes a rock band neoprogresivo very close to the Polish environment that has given us a lot of bands with a progressive and quality, their influences are clearly of classic prog bands like Marillion, Camel, Pendragon, Talk Talk and others contemporary as Porcupne tree. Their songs are melodic and with a melancholy and reflective, the album is conceptual cutting where it talks about man's impotence on different life situations, his compositions include certain metal Ginos, together with a touch of pop and symphonic rock.
A nice proposal for this winter.
